Boy dies after falling into a septic tank near Dharapuram

In a tragic incident, a 3-year-old boy from north Kerala died after falling into a septic tank while playing near Dharapuram.



Coimbatore: In a tragic incident, a 3-year-old boy from north Kerala died after falling into a septic tank while playing near Dharapuram.

Chandamaji, 36, hails from Odisha. He was staying with his family in an apartment in a private spinning mill (Palani Vijay) in Bombanallur area on Palani Road, Dharapuram.

Chandamaji's 3-year-old son was allegedly playing with a boy next door in the residential area when he climbed on top of a septic tank and was playing.

Then, unexpectedly, the lid of the septic tank broke and the two fell into the tank. The workers rescued the two and rushed them to dharapuram government hospital for treatment.



There, doctors examining the boys said the three-year-old boy had already died. Another boy is being treated.



Alangiyam police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
