During further investigation, it was revealed that the two were arrested by the Chhattisgarh police a few days ago in another cheating case and were lodged in jail. Following this, the police rushed to Chhattisgarh and arrested the two from the jail and brought them to Coimbatore. They were produced in court and sent to jail. It was revealed that some others had joined them in the racket. The police are on the lookout for some more people who are absconding.
