Corporation Commissioner M Prathap inaugurated stem education programme in 20 corporation schools in Coimbatore. Subsequently, he presented scientific equipment, including STEM tools (Electronics Electrical Mechanical Interconnectors Robotics and Sensor Technology).
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner Prathap inaugurated the STEM EDUCATION PROGRAMME in corporation schools in Coimbatore.
Stem Education Programme (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics - Science and Technology Engineering Mathematics) project is being implemented in three districts of Tamil Nadu in three districts of Tamil Nadu under the Rainbow Manram Project of the Government of Tamil Nadu for students from 6th to 9th standards in 12 Corporation Higher Secondary Schools and 8 High Schools in the Corporation area in coimbatore corporation area.
Accordingly, stem education programme, post graduate guidance and counselling and environmental protection programmes were launched in 20 schools of Coimbatore Corporation in the presence of Corporation Commissioner M. Prathap IAS on 26th of this month.

A total of 5,000 students and 300 teachers will be benefitted from this scheme from 6th to 9th standard. Corporation Commissioner Prathap handed over the scientific equipment, including ELECTRONICS Electrical Mechanical Interconnectors Robotics & Sensor Technology, to the headmasters for each of the selected corporation schools.

Corporation Education Officer Mariyaselvam, Bhumi Institute Joint Director P Banu, Manager V Alexander, School Headmasters and others were present on the occasion.
