The Economic Offences Wing of the police have given 15 days from Tuesday for persons who have bought land at Kandhaguru Nagar in Thudiyalur to lodge complaints against the promoter as the land is located under HACA scheme, and cannot be sold.
According to a press release here, more than 2,000 people have bought house sites under a monthly instalment scheme. A case has been registered against the director of the firm P.A. Madeswaran based on complaints lodged by 13 people.
The sum of Rs. 34.19 lakh that they paid the firm was handed over to the District Revenue Officer by the director of the firm. The press release added that complaints will not be received after the deadline.
