Coimbatore: The newly-set up Indian Cars Section at the GD Museum in Coimbatore will be opened to the public tomorrow.
The GD Car Museum in Coimbatore was opened in April 2015. It has received a great response from the public, from the youth to the elderly. Following the goodwill of the public, the museum continues to add to the collection of vehicles.
Based on the feedback received from the public, a separate section has been created to highlight the achievements of the Indian auto industry since 1947, when the country became independent.
The Indian car segment has 40 cars on display spread over an area of 10,500 square feet.
These became popular in every period of time.
These include Hindustan Motors, Premier Automobiles, Standard Motors, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Tempo, Sibani Automobiles, Maruti Udyog and Tata Motors. These are symbols of their preparation.
Many of the cars placed here are carefully selected and updated, and many more cars are gifted. The museum showcases the growth of India's automobile industry and the efforts made to manufacture cars for the people in India.
This special section of the museum will be opened to the public on August 18, 2023 at 9.00 am on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day. This is stated.
