Coimbatore: Lakshmi Machine Works - Advanced Technology Centre (LMW-ATC) had contributed to the success of Chandrayaan-Ill, launched on Friday by Indian Space Research Organisation using the LVM3 launch vehicle.
LMW’s Chakradhara Aerospace said in a tweet that it had conducted assembly, structural testing, and non-destructive testing of composite tubular members of the inner tank structure of the C25 cryogenic upper stage. This launch vehicle would carry the lander and rover configuration to 100 km lunar orbit, it said.
Chakradhara Aerospace's contributions were indispensable in four essential stages of the PSLV C56 mission:
1. PS1 Reaction Control System (RCS): Chakradhara Aerospace's cutting-edge RCS technology played a pivotal role in maintaining the precise orientation and stability of the launch vehicle during the critical initial phase.
2. PSO Control Modules: The Start valves and Bypass valves supplied by Chakradhara Aerospace served as the nerve center of the PSO stage, ensuring efficient and reliable functionality during the launch sequence.
3. PS1 and PS2: Chakradhara Aerospace's Electrical Actuators and motors were integral to the PS1 and PS2 stages, providing the necessary rotational force for the vehicle's-controlled movement and trajectory adjustments.
4. PS4: The high-precision pressure transducers, Control Modules and Gear Head Motors supplied by Chakradhara Aerospace were essential for monitoring and regulating pressure levels in the PS4 stage, optimizing the efficiency of the propulsion system.
