Justice Sivakumar directed the jail authorities to produce Senthil Balaji, whose custody has been extended till August 28.
Minister Senthil Balaji was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 14 in connection with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act case. After the Supreme Court said that his arrest was justified, the ED remanded him in custody for five days.
He was produced before the Principal Sessions Court in Chennai on August 12 and remanded to judicial custody till August 25. On the same day, the ED filed more than 120 pages of charge sheet and 3,000 pages of documents against Senthil Balaji.
