'Shifting Tasmac to our residential area is unfair', says residents of Madukkarai.

The residents of Madukkarai came together and petitioned the District Collector to stop re-locating the Tasmac No: 1761 from Madukkarai Bypass road to Thirumurugan Nagar, Madukkarai.

The residents in their petition have stressed re-locating the Tasmac to a residential colony is totally 'unfair'. 'There are quite a few educational institutions in our area along the Thirumurugan area, which has been ear-marked for Tasmac.

Hence, it would become a nuisance to the public especially the school/college going students to cross the Tasmac every time in the morning and evening. And, drunken brawls lying all over a residential area will cause uneasiness and threat to the residents as well. Hence the district administration should initiate measures to stop re-locating of the Tasmac to our colony', said the residents through their petition.
