15-sovereign chain snatched from elderly woman in Coimbatore - CCTV footage released

The CCTV footage of a man who snatched a 15-sovereign gold chain from the neck of an elderly woman in front of her house in Coimbatore has surfaced.


Coimbatore: The Singanallur police have registered a case and are investigating who stole gold ornaments from an elderly woman.

Kalaivani is a resident of Senthil Janatha Street, Ondipudur, Coimbatore. She was putting a kolam in front of his house at around 3.30 am when he was carrying a 15-sovereign gold chain around his neck to attend a function of his relatives.

According to the victim, 17 sovereigns were lost along with the beads and dollars attached to the gold chain. Singanallur police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
