Coimbatore Corporation and Fire Department Conduct Disaster Management Drill

Coimbatore Corporation and Fire Department conducted a disaster management drill, showcasing rescue techniques and first aid procedures. Officials and experts demonstrated preparedness for emergencies, enhancing community safety awareness.


Coimbatore: In an effort to prepare for emergencies and offer first aid to those in distress, a disaster management drill was organized by the Coimbatore Corporation and Fire Department in Valankulam under the supervision of national disaster management authorities.





The event saw the participation of officials including Prathap, the Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation, K. Gandhikumar, the District Collector, and Balakrishnan, the Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore. Several disaster management experts and medical professionals provided demonstrations on first aid techniques for those in need.

During the drill, various scenarios were enacted to illustrate how to rescue people in perilous situations and administer appropriate first aid. The event showcased the necessary tools and equipment used during disaster management, emphasizing the importance of being prepared.





City officials, disaster management department heads, and concerned citizens observed the drill keenly. They gained insights into the procedures followed by disaster management officials during emergencies, contributing to a better understanding of the city's preparedness for unforeseen disasters.
