15-Day Deadline for Ward No. 63 Roadworks

Shanthi Murugan, the leader of the Coimbatore Municipal Works Committee, mandated the completion of sewerage and road construction in Ward No. 63 within 15 days after her inspection with officials and locals.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore’s infrastructure development is gaining momentum as Municipal Works Committee leader Shanthi Murugan enforces a 15-day deadline for completing roadworks in Ward No. 63. This area, comprising Ramalinga Jothi Nagar, Valliammal Street, and Ramasamy Street, is currently undergoing critical sewerage and drainage infrastructure upgrades.

During an inspection conducted yesterday, Murugan assessed the progress of the sewerage system installation and the laying of underground drainage pipes. Post-evaluation, he issued a directive for the rapid completion of these projects. The urgency to finish the sewerage work within the stipulated timeframe is crucial for the immediate commencement of tar road construction, a necessary development eagerly awaited by the residents.

This inspection witnessed the involvement of key figures such as Manjula AE, Deputy Organizer of the Sports Development Department, Udhayakumar, along with active participation from local residents. Their presence underscores the communal interest in the municipal projects and the Corporation’s efforts to maintain transparency and efficiency.

This initiative is a part of the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation’s larger plan to enhance the city’s urban infrastructure and public amenities. The timely completion of the projects in Ward No. 63 is expected to improve the residents’ quality of life significantly and contribute to the area’s comprehensive development.
