Special Poojas Held at Arulmigu Vilvamariamman Temple for New Year 2024

Arulmigu Vilvamariamman Temple in Gandhinagar-2, South Palaiyam, Coimbatore, celebrated the New Year 2024 with special poojas and rituals, attracting numerous devotees.


Coimbatore: The Arulmigu Vilvamariamman Temple, located near Narasimmanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore, hosted a series of special poojas to mark the beginning of 2024.

The festivities began at 7 AM with Vinayagar Pooja, followed by Mahasankalpam, Vedic chants, Maha Poornahuti, and Deepaarathanai.



A significant highlight was the Abhishekam for Sri Vilvamariamman, performed with 54 types of herbal powders. Later, the deity was adorned in a special alankaram and taken around in a horse-drawn chariot.



Devotees were also treated to a Bhakti film music Nadaswaram concert, adding to the festive spirit. The temple committee, led by priest Santoshkumar Shivam, along with the public, organized the event and also offered Annadhanam (free meal distribution) to the attendees.
