Over a hundred students participated in a marathon in Kethanoor, near Palladam, emphasizing the importance of environmental protection.
Coimbatore: In a bid to promote environmental conservation, a children's marathon was organized by L.M. School near Palladam, in Kullampalayam.

The event, held from Kethanoor to Kullampalayam over a distance of about 3 kilometers, saw participation from students of grades 1 to 8.

The marathon was inaugurated by dignitaries including the Palladam All Women Police Station Inspector Parveen Banu, the school headmaster Sabina Parveen, and others. In his address, the inspector from Kamanayakanpalayam advised students to reduce their dependency on cellphones and engage more in sports. He also stressed the importance of installing CCTV cameras in every household for safety. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winning students, under the vigilant supervision of the police department.
