Samathuva Pongal Festival Celebrated in Koundampalayam by Rotaract Club of Texcity

The Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Texcity, PACE Foundation, and Neelaneyam Foundation jointly organized the Samathuva Pongal festival near Koundampalayam, Coimbatore, bringing together the local community for a day of celebration and cultural activities.


Coimbatore: The Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Texcity, in collaboration with the PACE Foundation and Neelaneyam Foundation, celebrated the Samathuva Pongal festival near Koundampalayam, in the vicinity of the Meenakshi Amman temple.



The event was a communal celebration, involving the local residents of the Kaundampalayam area.



Rtr. Muruganandam and Rtr. Vinoth Kanna from the Rotaract Club led a series of games and competitions for the children in the area, fostering a spirit of joy and community engagement.



The event also featured dance performances, adding a festive ambiance and attracting a large audience from the locality.



A highlight of the event was the focus on education, with the children in attendance receiving valuable guidance on its importance.



This was part of the broader objective to promote community development and awareness.



The festival also included the traditional preparation and sharing of Pongal and sugarcane, ensuring that all attendees could partake in the festive meal. The event concluded with a grand celebration, embodying the essence of Samathuva Pongal.

The event was successfully orchestrated under the leadership of Event Chair Rtr. Rose Neha, President of the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Texcity Rtr. Maikchelraj, Secretary Rtr. Arjun, and the dedicated members of the PACE Foundation, Neelaneyam Arakkattalai, and the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Texcity, along with Council Members.
