Joyful Pongal Celebrations at Coimbatore South Legislative Assembly Office

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore South Legislative Assembly Office today witnessed a festive Pongal celebration. Participants enthusiastically cooked Pongal in clay pots and shared it among each other, spreading joy and camaraderie. The event was graced by the presence of Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan, who added special charm to the festivities.



Following the Pongal cooking, the celebration continued with singing, dancing, and playing kummi around the Pongal pots. This traditional festival, deeply rooted in Tamil culture, brought together the community in a joyous celebration, reflecting the spirit of thanksgiving and prosperity. The event served as a reminder of the cultural richness and community bond that Pongal fosters among the people of Tamil Nadu.
