Alumni Meet Celebrated at Historic School in Karumalai Estate, Valparai

The school in Karumalai Estate, Valparai, established in 1935, hosted an alumni meet with former students from various professions participating and reminiscing their old memories.


Coimbatore: A grand alumni meet was held at a historic school in Karumalai Estate, near Valparai, which was founded in 1935. The event saw the participation of former students, now successful professionals like doctors, judges, lawyers, engineers, police officers, bankers, transportation and railway employees, military officers, private and government teachers, professors, telecommunication and postal department employees, central and state tax officials, forest department officers, private sector managers, and business people.

During the meet, old teachers and students, along with current staff and students, indulged in sharing nostalgic memories. A special postage stamp featuring the school's photograph was released, symbolizing its historical significance. This stamp was presented by the alumni to the current students.

Sports competitions, speech contests, poetry contests, and games were organized for both former and current students. The event also included the distribution of mementos to teachers and former students. The festival committee members, Tamilvendan, Anbuchekar, Madhavan, Dheivanai, Rajamarthandan, Maharaja, Ashok Kumar, Sushi, Ramadass, Paramasivam, Prabhu, Senthil, and Anburaj, played pivotal roles in the successful conduct of this memorable event.
