Coimbatore: The 107th birth anniversary of MGR, the founder of AIADMK and former Chief Minister, was celebrated with fervor in Coimbatore. As part of the festivities, AIADMK members across Tamil Nadu organized various welfare activities. In Coimbatore, the celebration took place in wards 25 and 33 under the leadership of Pollachi MLA Pollachi Jayaraman and city secretary Krishnakumar.
The event featured the hoisting of the AIADMK flag and a floral tribute to MGR's portrait, with members and local leaders participating in the homage. Furthermore, the event included a significant act of charity, annadanam, where food was distributed to the public.
