Commotion in Palladam as Intoxicated Driver Creates Ruckus in Middle of Road

A man under the influence of alcohol causes disruption on Palladam-Pollachi road, leading to police intervention.


Coimbatore: A recent incident in Vadugapalayam near Palladam stirred local commotion. An intoxicated driver, identified as Muthukumar Satheesh Ashok Muthukrishnan, was reportedly driving recklessly, causing inconvenience to other motorists.

According to reports, an affected two-wheeler rider snatched the mobile phone of the alleged drunk driver. This led to a heated argument and subsequently, Muthukumar, in a fit of rage, lay down in the middle of the road, causing further disturbance.

Upon receiving information, Palladam police arrived at the scene and engaged in negotiations. The situation escalated when Muthukumar's friends verbally and physically assaulted the two-wheeler rider for not returning the phone. Police intervened, diffusing the altercation and taking the individuals to Palladam Police Station.

The entire episode, especially Muthukumar's dramatic act on the road, went viral on social media, causing a stir in the Palladam and surrounding areas.
