Former Minister S.P. Velumani's Home Near Coimbatore Targeted with Defamatory Posters

Controversial posters branding former Minister S.P. Velumani as a terrorist surfaced in the Sukunapuram area near Coimbatore, sparking a police investigation and outrage among AIADMK members.


Coimbatore: In a startling incident, the Sugunapuram area near Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore, witnessed the emergence of defamatory posters against S.P. Velumani, former Minister and current Member of Legislative Assembly from Thondamuthur. Velumani's residence is located in this area.

These posters, which appeared in three different locations, labeled S.P. Velumani as a terrorist, accompanied by his photograph. The images of these posters quickly spread across social media platforms. Upon noticing them, members of the AIADMK gathered at the Kuniyamuthur police station, demanding immediate action to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for pasting these posters.

The police, after receiving the complaint, assured that they would investigate the matter thoroughly and take appropriate actions. Following this assurance, the AIADMK members dispersed peacefully.
