Coimbatore: The GKNM Hospital, functioning under the KNC Trust for Education and Medical Relief, has officially dedicated the renovated and upgraded Anganwadi of Gudalur Municipality Middle School (Selvapuram) to the community. The inauguration ceremony took place on 8th February 2024, marking a significant step in the hospital's ongoing commitment to enhancing rural health and education services. This project aligns with the principles of Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER).

Through various initiatives, including disease prevention awareness and medical camps, the hospital has extended free medical services, benefiting hundreds of patients. Additionally, family welfare programs and free cancer check-up camps have been conducted to promote health and well-being in these communities.

The dedication ceremony for the Anganwadi was graced by the presence of GKNMH CEO Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, who officially opened the centre.

The event also featured the distribution of free school bags to students, emphasizing the hospital's dedication to supporting education. Gudalur Municipal President A. Arivarasu, school headmistress M. Loganayagi, Dr. Parimala, Medical Officer, Chidbhavanandha Rural Education & The Rural Health Centre – Veerapandi, among other dignitaries, attended as special guests, showcasing the collective effort to uplift the educational and health standards of the community.
