Minister M.A. Subramanian Inaugurates New Medical Facilities in Pollachi

Minister for Health and Family Welfare M.A. Subramanian inaugurated a newly constructed Accident and Emergency Block and Integrated Laboratory at the Pollachi District Government Hospital, costing ₹3.17 crores, dedicated for public use.


Coimbatore: Health and Family Welfare Minister M.A. Subramanian today inaugurated several new medical facilities at the Pollachi District Government Hospital, including an Accident and Emergency Block and an Integrated Laboratory, built at a cost of ₹3.17 crores.



These facilities are expected to significantly enhance the hospital's service capability to the public. Additionally, Minister Subramanian also launched the National Deworming Day event at the Mahalingam Engineering College in Pollachi, initiating the distribution of deworming tablets and presenting medical insurance cards to beneficiaries under the Chief Minister's comprehensive medical insurance scheme.



In a subsequent address to the press at the district hospital, Minister Subramanian announced that 977 individuals, who had been temporarily employed as nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic and were later dismissed, will be reinstated with permanent positions. This move is part of the Tamil Nadu government's efforts to strengthen the healthcare workforce in the state.
