District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati announced on February 9th that applications are now being accepted for a vacant middle school teacher position specifically designed for the visually impaired in Coimbatore district. This position is available at a government school operating under the Department of Differently Abled Welfare.
The announcement follows the government's initiative to provide specialized training and opportunities for differently-abled individuals. Applicants must have completed either a Diploma in Teacher Education (D.T.Ed) for teaching the visually impaired, a Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) in Special Education, or equivalent qualifications.
Priority will be given to candidates who have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board. If no eligible candidates are found through the Teachers Recruitment Board, priority will be given to qualified volunteers working under the Home-based Education Program of the School Education Department.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by submitting their application along with educational certificates, caste certificate, family card copy, employment office registration card copy, and two passport-size photographs to the Headmaster, Government School for the Visually Impaired, Uliyampalayam, Coimbatore - 109, by 5:45 PM on February 12th.
