Tragic End for Three Family Members in Coimbatore Suspected of Committing Suicide

In a heart-wrenching incident in Coimbatore's Goundampalayam, three family members, Ganesan (65), his wife Vimala (55), and daughter Diya Gayathri (25), are suspected to have committed suicide amidst health and marital discord due to suspected homosexual tendency with their daughter's husband.

Coimbatore, February 24 - A somber atmosphere envelops Goundampalayam's Jawahar Nagar, where three members of the same family are suspected to have taken their own lives. Ganesan, 65, his wife Vimala, 55, and their daughter Diya Gayathri, 25, resided at the address and are now the subjects of a tragic investigation.

Diya Gayathri had married Theetchith on September 3, and both were employed at an IT company in Bangalore. Ganesan, a retired employee from Brooke Bond in Coimbatore, and his family had been experiencing a period of severe distress following the marriage. It emerged that Diya and her husband faced irreconcilable differences shortly after their wedding, compounded by the revelation of her husband's alleged homosexual tendencies. This led to Diya returning to her parental home within a month of the marriage.

The health of Diya's parents, Ganesan and Vimala, had been deteriorating, contributing to the overwhelming distress within the family. The suspicion that all three consumed poison comes amidst these tumultuous circumstances, leading to their untimely deaths.

The incident has prompted an in-depth investigation by local police authorities, including the Assistant Commissioner and the Goundampalayam Police Inspector. This tragic event has cast a shadow over the community, highlighting the profound impact of personal and health struggles on family dynamics.
