Valparai, February 23 - A new chapter in infrastructure development was begun near Valparai, Coimbatore district, with the groundbreaking ceremony for a 2 crore road construction project. This initiative comes in response to the public's call for improvement of the municipal road leading to Solaiyar Estate, which was established around 15 years ago and is now in a state of disrepair.
The ceremony saw the participation of Valparai Municipal Chairman Alagu Sundaravalli, Municipal Engineer Venkatachalam, Deputy Engineer Kokila, Site Supervisor Ramakrishnan, Valparai DMK City Secretary Sudhakar, Saravana Pandian from the 14th Ward, Ravi Chandran from the 12th Ward, and contractors Ramesh, VCD Ravi, and Moustache Kumar Radha Jothi, among others. The resolution passed by the city council entails constructing a concrete road spanning approximately two kilometers at the cost of 2 crores, aimed at enhancing the connectivity and safety for the residents.
This development project promises to significantly improve the infrastructure of Valparai, addressing the long-standing issue of potholes and uneven surfaces that have plagued the existing road, making travel safer and more accessible for the community.
