Coimbatore: Ganapathi Rajkumar, the DMK candidate for the Coimbatore parliamentary constituency, met with Jayabal, the head of the Coimbatore Recycled Textile Association (AN ORGANISATION OF OPEN END SPINNING MILLS), at their office in Vellanaipatti on March 24.

In a gesture of goodwill and seeking support, Jayabal draped a ceremonial shawl over Rajkumar, who requested support for the DMK-led INDIA alliance and the Rising Sun symbol in the upcoming elections.

The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including Na. Karthik, the DMK district secretary and former MLA, along with the association's vice president Sivakumar, and other prominent members such as Balaji, Kesavaraj, Sivakumar, Karivaradharaj (also known as Thambu), G. Sekar, and representatives from various textile and trade associations in the Coimbatore area like the SIHS Colony Waste Cotton Traders Association, knitting, and towel fabric manufacturers. Manoj, the DMK secretary of Vellanaipatti, was also present.
