Coimbatore: In an encouraging move to boost voter turnout, Rapido, a popular bike taxi service, has announced free rides for voters in Tamil Nadu's major cities including Coimbatore, Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Salem on the election day of April 19, 2024. This initiative is part of the "KadamaiKaanaSavaari" campaign, supported by the State Election Commission, aimed at promoting democratic participation among the citizens.




The "KadamaiKaanaSavaari" campaign, introduced for the 2024 General Elections in India, encourages citizens to utilize the special promo code "VOTENOW" within the Rapido app to avail the free ride service. This initiative underscores the importance of every vote and aims to facilitate easier access to polling stations for voters. Rapido expressed that this campaign is driven by the motive to ensure that every citizen performs their democratic duty conveniently and on time.
