Coimbatore District Collector Distributes Saplings at Polling Stations

In a unique initiative, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati distributed saplings to voters at polling stations today, promoting environmental sustainability during the voting process.


Coimbatore: As polling continues across various centers in the Coimbatore parliamentary constituency, a distinctive initiative under the theme "Grow Trees, Gain Rain" captivated the attention of voters. Each polling station was equipped with saplings, which were handed to voters after they cast their votes. District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati visited Nirmala College for Women in Sungam, followed by a surprise inspection at one of the polling stations.




During his visit, Pati inquired about the voting process from the officials and ensured the distribution of saplings to contribute towards environmental conservation. This initiative aligns with the broader vision of enhancing green cover while engaging the community in a pivotal democratic process.
