Encroachment Clearance Opposite Brookfield Mall in Coimbatore

Encroachments worth Rs. 10 crore have been cleared by Coimbatore City Corporation officials opposite Brookfield Mall today to retrieve the land designated for a 40-foot road.


Coimbatore: In a significant move, the Coimbatore City Corporation today conducted an encroachment clearance operation against illegal constructions opposite Brookfield Mall. With the land valued at Rs. 10 crore, the clearance was targeted at a 21-cent area that was earmarked for developing a 40-foot road but was illegally occupied.



Following the directives of the Chennai High Court, the operation was carried out by 1 City Engineer, 3 Assistant City Engineers, and over 50 workers. This action is part of ongoing efforts to maintain order and ensure urban development as per planning guidelines.
