Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Alumni Shine in Civil Services Examinations

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University celebrated the success of its alumni in UPSC and TNPSC examinations at Anna Auditorium, TNAU Campus, where achievers shared their experiences and interacted with current students on 25.04.2024.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has a long-standing history of nurturing top-tier civil servants. Recently, a felicitation ceremony was held for TNAU alumni who excelled in civil services examinations. The event took place at Anna Auditorium, part of the University's Centre for Students Welfare, on April 25, 2024. Notably, alumni earned positions across multiple ranks, including IPS and IRS via UPSC exams, and roles like Deputy Collectors and Assistant Commercial Tax Officers via TNPSC.

The Centre of Students Welfare organized the ceremony, which saw participation from nearly 600 undergraduate students, university officers, and staff. The event spotlighted eleven successful candidates from this year's exams. Among them, Subashkarthik from Tirunelveli District secured an IPS position, while Oviya from Dindigul District secured an IRS position. TNPSC successes included Ganthiriya and Nithya fetching Deputy Collector positions, and Vignesh attained the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.

During the event, the achievers shared invaluable insights from their preparation journey for UPSC and TNPSC exams, actively engaging with the student attendees.



Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, the Vice-Chancellor of TNAU, praised the achievers and encouraged current students to utilize the resources offered by the Centre for Students Welfare, such as the library, to excel in their future competitive examinations. She emphasized the hard work and dedication required to succeed in such high-level competitions.

Dr. N. Maragatham, Dean of the Centre for Students Welfare, highlighted the crucial role of specialized coaching in transforming students into successful candidates. The session also included an address by P.S. Kumar from Bharath IAS Academy, emphasizing the importance of disciplined preparation and structured planning. Dr. K.M. Sellamuthu, a professor and career counselor at CSW, concluded the event with a formal vote of thanks.
