Coimbatore: Marking the observance of Labor Day on May 1, which is celebrated across the nation, the DMK orchestrated a grand rally in Pollachi under the leadership of Navaneethakrishnan.

The procession saw participation from over a hundred auto-rickshaws, starting from Mahalingapuram Arch and passing through key routes such as Kovai Road, New Scheme Road, and Palladam Road before concluding near the Thernilayam area.

Following the rally, a floral tribute was offered at the Labor Statue. Subsequently, welfare aids including rice were distributed to auto drivers by the DMK. Additionally, a water stall was set up to quench the thirst of the public attending the event. Notably, Pollachi candidate Eswara Swamy, among others, attended the day's events, emphasizing solidarity and support to the working class.
