Coimbatore: In observance of May Day, a public meeting was organized under the auspices of the AITUC and CITU in Udumalai, within the municipal limits of Tirupur District. The meeting took place on Venkita Krishna Road with Soundararajan presiding as the district committee member. Rajendran delivered the welcoming speech, while the district leader Mohan delivered a special address.
At the gathering, Mohan criticized the financial expenditures of Prime Minister Modi during the recent parliamentary elections, stating that the people would never re-elect Modi. A large number of administrators attended this event. Similar meetings had previously occurred at the Udumalai municipal office.

District Committee leader Viswanathan led the event, supported by District Vice President Ellammal who gave the inaugural speech. District Secretary Kumar made a special address, and CITU’s District Deputy Chairman Jegatheesan, along with leaders like Kanagaraj of the CTIU, and CPI(M) Udumalai town secretary Balathandapani Ranganathan, were notably present. Many individuals participated in the event, and Udumalai police engaged actively in security measures concerning the public meetings.
