From May 7 to May 30, tourists visiting Nilgiris must register for an E-Pass, as per District Collector Aruna. One E-Pass per vehicle suffices, but it's not needed for government bus passengers.
The Nilgiris: In a recent announcement, District Collector Aruna informed that tourists planning a visit to Nilgiris would require to register for an E-Pass. This regulation will be in place from May 7 to May 30 on a trial basis. Additionally, it has been clarified that while one E-Pass per vehicle is sufficient during this period, passengers traveling to Nilgiris on government buses will not require an E-Pass. The public can register their mobile numbers to obtain the E-Pass. This move aims to streamline the flow of tourists and manage the travel arrangements efficiently during the testing period.
