Fire Breaks Out Near Athupalam in Coimbatore, Firefighters Battling the Blaze

A sudden fire ignited today (May 6) in the garbage accumulated near Athupalam in Coimbatore, spreading rapidly to nearby trees and bushes. Firefighters are on the scene attempting to extinguish the fire.


Coimbatore: A fire broke out early this morning near the Athupalam area in Coimbatore, primarily fueled by piles of garbage and debris dumped in the river. The blaze quickly spread to the surrounding trees and vegetation, causing thick smoke to blanket the area.




Following the spread, the local residents alerted the fire services, who rushed to the spot and began firefighting efforts. The smoke, initially caused by burning plastic and plant material, has created a haze over the region. Firefighting teams are working diligently to control the fire and prevent further damage.
