Vanathi Srinivasan Inaugurates Buttermilk Stalls in Coimbatore to Combat Summer Heat

Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA, inaugurated buttermilk stalls in various locales of Coimbatore including Ramanathapuram and Olympus, to help people face the summer heat.

Coimbatore: In a bid to provide relief from the intense summer heat, Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA and leader of the BJP National Women's Team, inaugurated several buttermilk stalls across different regions in Coimbatore.

Located in areas such as Ramanathapuram Ward 63, Olympus, Ther Mutt Street, and Theppakulam Flower Market, these stalls aim to offer solace to the public, including drivers, passengers, elderly, and children.

The initiative, mainly targeted at areas under the South Coimbatore constituency, prominently around the Coimbatore South Assembly Office on Husur Road, sees the distribution of buttermilk and fruits. The effort is part of a broader attempt to soothe and hydrate the populace amidst the grueling temperatures brought on by the Agni Nakshatram period.

Speaking to reporters after the inauguration, Vanathi Srinivasan discussed the escalating heat and associated hazards. “The increasing heat levels pose a serious threat. There is corruption in the water supply via trucks, and it needs strict monitoring,” she stated. She also took the opportunity to touch upon various civic issues including allegations of voter misconduct within her constituency and emphasized the need for systemic correction and heightened electoral vigilance.

Vanathi criticized the current state government for inadequate action on water supply and environmental sustainability, underscoring the need for integrated urban development and environmental conservation. She also called for stringent measures against local criminal activities that disrupt community welfare.

Also, Vanathi mentioned the misuse of government properties, suggesting that social miscreants had converted her temporarily closed assembly office into a makeshift bar. This bold initiative and her critical stance on various civic issues have sparked a spectrum of reactions among the local populace and political circles alike.
