Coimbatore: As of 14th May 2024, important updates have been reported regarding the water levels, inflows, and outflows at various dams within Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts. Sholayar Dam's water level is at 06.01 feet out of a maximum of 160 feet, with an inflow of 85.27 cusecs and an outflow of 20 cusecs. It received 7 mm of rainfall. Parambikulam Dam reports a water level of 10.17 feet against a full capacity of 72 feet, with incoming water flow at 35 cusecs and discharge at 17 cusecs, after rainfall of 20mm.
Azhir Dam stands at 68.10 feet of a 120 feet maximum capacity, receiving an inflow of 250 cusecs and outflow of 47 cusecs, accompanied by 62.2 mm of rainfall. In Tiruppur district, the water level at Thirumurthy Dam is 20.67 out of 60 feet, with inflow and outflow listed as substantial and measured rainfall of 38 mm.
