Coimbatore: In an effort to advance entrepreneurial initiatives in the region, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced a crucial meeting scheduled for May 15, 2024. This gathering, set to take place at the district administrative office, is vital for entrepreneurs and industry leaders, aimed at discussing the upcoming one-year postgraduate diploma program on Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The program, developed in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) based in Ahmedabad and the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII - TN), focuses on fostering innovative business concepts among aspiring entrepreneurs.
Detailing the specifics, the District Collector confirmed that the meeting would cover the course’s curriculum, admission criteria, and the diploma program itself. Highlights include the institution of the course in Chennai's EDII, providing training to a capacity of 500 candidates annually, with a comprehensive cost of Rs. 1,00,000, accommodating tuition and additional expenses.
Representatives from various educational bodies, small and medium enterprise associations, and key district authorities will participate. Targeting graduates aged between 21 and 30, the program ensures inclusivity with reserved slots for SC/ST candidates and women, promoting a diversity of participants.
"It’s an entrepreneurial program designed not just for employment but to inspire and prepare leaders to initiate their ventures," stated Kranthi Kumar Pati. He emphasized the importance of this initiative in cultivating a vibrant ecosystem for young entrepreneurs in Coimbatore. All interested entrepreneurs and business leaders are warmly invited to attend.
