Admissions Open for Women's Industrial Training Institute in Mettupalayam for 2024

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati announces the commencement of admissions for the year 2024 at the Women's Industrial Training Institute in Mettupalayam, opposite the district employment office on Mettupalayam Road.



Coimbatore: The Women's Industrial Training Institute located on Mettupalayam Road, opposite the district employment office, has started admissions for the year 2024, as announced by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati today, May 14. Applications for training can be submitted online through www.skilltraining.tn.gov.in from May 10, 2024, to June 7, 2024, and are open to women who have completed either 8th grade or 10th grade.

Applicants can also visit the institute in person to apply through its help center. The courses offered include one-year programs in Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA), Desktop Publishing Operator (DTPO), Internet of Things Technician (Smart Healthcare), and Sewing Technology; two-year programs in Instrument Mechanic (IM), Electronics Mechanic (EM), Information Technology (IT), and Technician Medical Electronics (TME); and a six-month course for Smart Phone Technician Cum App Tester.

Successful trainees will be awarded the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) certificate. The institute provides various benefits under the Innovative Women Scheme, including a monthly stipend of Rs. 750, and for government school educated women, an additional Rs. 1000 per month, along with free bus passes for distances up to 30 kilometers, uniforms, sewing kits, footwear, textbooks, drafting instruments, and opportunities for an industrial visit, in-plant training, and internship training.
