Counting of Offerings Begins at Sangameswarar Kottai Easwaran Temple in Ukkadam, Coimbatore

Today in Coimbatore's Ukkadam, the semi-annual counting of monetary and jewelry offerings began at the popular Sangameswarar Kottai Easwaran Temple.


Coimbatore: The revered Sangameswarar Kottai Easwaran Temple, located near Ukkadam in Coimbatore, initiated the counting of hundi collections today, May 15, 2024. This revered temple witnesses the counting of contributions from devotees twice a year, including money and jewelry offerings.



This initiative forms part of the temple's routine to account for all the offerings deposited by devotees. The counting session was overseen by Ram Nagarajan, the head of the temple committee. Authorities, along with devotees, participated actively in tallying coins, currency, and other items contributed to the temple's hundi. This process helps in maintaining transparency and proper management of the offerings at the temple.
