Two Arrested for Selling Ganja Under Kottur Road Flyover in Pollachi

On May 19, two individuals were arrested for selling ganja under the Kottur Road flyover in Pollachi. The police seized 1.5 kilograms of ganja from them.


Coimbatore: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Coimbatore District’s police led by SP Badrin Narayanan conducted a raid under the Pollachi Kottur Road flyover catching two men in the act of selling ganja. Based on confidential informant's tip-off, the special police team executed the operation today.

During the raid, the team apprehended Barathan, son of Vijayendran from Dindigul District, and Naveen Kumar, son of Ayyappan, who were found with the narcotics. Upon searching, police confiscated 1.5 kilograms of ganja from their possession.

The efforts by SP Badrin Narayanan are part of an initiative to eradicate the use of narcotics and strive for a drug-free Coimbatore. After the arrest, the accused were taken to court and have been remanded to judicial custody.
