Special Meeting for Students Who Failed Plus-2 Exams Held in R.S. Puram

A special meeting for students who failed the Plus-2 exams was conducted today at the municipal auditorium in R.S. Puram, under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran.


Coimbatore: A significant initiative was undertaken today at the municipal auditorium in R.S. Puram for students who did not pass the recent Plus-2 public examinations. The event was presided over by Municipal Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran and attended by students from 17 higher secondary schools under the jurisdiction of the Coimbatore Municipality.

During his address, Commissioner Prabhakaran emphasized the importance of education and urged the students to dedicate themselves fully to their studies, especially in preparation for the upcoming re-examination scheduled on June 26, 2024. He highlighted that special classes have been ongoing since May 10, 2024, conducted by the school teachers to better prepare these students.

The meeting was also graced by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Selvasurabi, City Educational Officer Thomas Xavier, and various school principals and teachers. The event not only aimed to motivate the students but also to create awareness about the educational opportunities and support available to them within the city’s educational sector.

This proactive approach exemplifies the municipality's commitment to ensuring that every student succeeds academically and continues their higher education. The students were motivated to see education as a vital companion in their lives and use this opportunity to improve their prospects.
