Residents of Pullukadu area in Coimbatore's 86th ward staged a sudden road blockade due to non-supply of drinking water and poor road conditions. Traffic was temporarily disrupted.
Coimbatore: Today, inhabitants of the Pullukadu area in Coimbatore's 86th ward staged a sudden road blockade in protest against the repeated failure of the local municipal corporation to address the lack of drinking water supply and to maintain roads filled with potholes and garbage, which has led to unsanitary conditions. Despite multiple complaints, the lack of action prompted the residents to resort to a road blockade, causing a temporary traffic disruption.

Following this, the police from the Ukkadam station arrived at the scene and engaged in discussions with the public. As a result of these discussions and assurances from the authorities to provide water immediately, the crowd dispersed peacefully. The municipal corporation's negligence has been a persistent issue in the area, and the residents hope that their actions will finally bring about a change.
