In Padiyur, Kangayam, over 300 families witnessed a unique show of communal harmony as Muslims donated land for a Hindu temple and participated in the temple's festival.
Tirupur: In a heartwarming display of communal harmony, the Muslim community in Padiyur, near Ottappaalayam in the Rose Garden area of Kangayam, has actively participated in the construction and festivities of a local Hindu temple.
This area, home to diverse religious communities, recently saw the completion of a Ganesh temple, significantly funded by a generous donation from the local Muslim Jamaath. This donation encompassed three cents of land worth six lakh rupees, initially under the ownership of the RMJ Rose Garden Muslim Jamaath.

In continuation of their support, the Muslim community carried five platters of offerings from their mosque to the newly constructed temple, marking a significant participation in the temple's consecration ceremony held today. Additionally, they have also arranged for the annadanam, a communal feast, as part of the temple festival, portraying a remarkable example of cross-cultural solidarity and communal peace.
