During the intense summer months, as AC use and other electrical consumptions soar due to extreme heat, Tamil Nadu has witnessed a significant rise in electricity usage. Daily consumption has surpassed 40 crore units, pushing the demand to 19,387 megawatts on March 20, marking a new record for the most power needed in a single day in the state.

The meeting focused on reviewing, planning, and monitoring the functioning of power-sharing companies across various states.
