The incident occurred yesterday evening when Karthi, trying to retrieve his goat, lost his footing and plunged into the well.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Periyanayakanpalayam fire and rescue team, led by station officers Karthikesan, Sureshkumar, Satish Kannan, Velmurugan, and Mohanraj, acted swiftly. They managed to rescue Karthi, who was fighting for his life at the bottom of the deep well. After a tense rescue operation, Karthi was safely pulled out and immediately transported to a government hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, the goat was also rescued alive and returned to its owner.
