Coimbatore: In light of the summer vacation season, the special train service running from Kochuveli in Kerala to Chennai via Coimbatore has been extended beyond its originally planned schedule. The service, which was initially supposed to end in May, will now continue until July, the Palakkad railway division announced recently.
The Kochuveli-Chennai special train (train number: 06043) will depart from Chennai at 3.45 PM on Wednesdays, specifically on June 5, 12, 19, 26, and July 3. It will reach Kochuveli the following morning at 8.45 AM. In the reverse direction, the Chennai-bound special train (train number: 06044) will leave Kochuveli at 6.25 PM on Thursdays—June 6, 13, 20, 27, and July 4—and will arrive in Chennai the following morning at 10.40 AM.
This train stops at various important stations including Kollam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, and Arakkonam.
