Coimbatore: The regular Tuesday and Thursday copra auctions at Anaimalai Regulated Market witnessed a substantial trade this Tuesday. A total of 74 farmers from the Anaimalai region participated, bringing in 430 bags of copra.
Top-grade copra achieved a maximum price of Rs. 8826 per quintal, with 178 bags sold, while the second-grade copra saw 252 bags fetching up to Rs. 8010 per quintal. Overall, a whopping 193.50 quintals of copra was sold, amounting to Rs. 16.4 lakhs.
