Remarkable Rise in Solaiyar Dam Water Level Due to Recent Rains

The water level of Solaiyar Dam in Valparai has impressively increased from 3 feet in early May to 38.75 feet as of this morning, thanks to the ongoing rainfall.

Coimbatore: The Solaiyar Dam, located in Valparai, has experienced a significant increase in water levels following the recent rains. Officials from the Water Resources Department reported that while the water level was just 3 feet in the first week of May, it has surged to 38.75 feet as of 8 AM today. This rise comes as the Southwest Monsoon has begun in Kerala, prompting expectations that the dam will soon reach its full capacity and begin power generation.
