Renowned Indian Wildlife Researcher Dr. AJT Johnsingh Passes Away

Dr. AJT Johnsingh, a prominent Indian wildlife researcher, passed away early this morning in his residence in Bangalore after a period of illness.


Coimbatore: In a mournful event for the wildlife and conservation community, Dr. AJT Johnsingh, one of India's leading wildlife researchers, has passed away. Dr. Johnsingh succumbed to illness and breathed his last at his residence in Bangalore early today. Born in Tirunelveli district, he was an iconic figure known for his vast travels and in-depth studies across the Indian forests.

Dr. Johnsingh, who had served as the Dean of the Wildlife Institute of India, was revered for his relentless passion and commitment to wildlife management.
