MP Eswarasamy Pledges to Extend Cheran Express to Pollachi at Parliament

MP Eswarasamy assures to voice in Parliament for extending Cheran Express to Pollachi. He also distributed free bicycles under Tamil Nadu government's education scheme in Pollachi.


Coimbatore: During a recent event in Pollachi, MP Eswarasamy committed to advocating for the extension of the Cheran Express train route to include Pollachi, addressing a longstanding demand of the local community. The announcement was made alongside a bicycle distribution event, where 47 school students received free bicycles as part of a Tamil Nadu government initiative.






The event, held at the urban council men's higher secondary school under Pollachi Municipality, was led by city council head Shyamala Navaneetha Krishnan. MP Eswarasamy, addressing reporters later, reiterated his dedication to the cause and mentioned raising the issue in the upcoming Parliament sessions. He emphasized the significance of the extension for easier transportation and economic benefits, especially for the coconut agriculture predominant in Pollachi.




Furthermore, Eswarasamy also highlighted the need for fair distribution of coconut oil through fair price shops in Tamil Nadu. He confirmed that he will strongly push for this initiative, following discussions with Chief Minister, as part of the broader state effort to support agriculture and provide better amenities to the local populace.
