Coimbatore: 41 individuals have been affected by dengue fever this June and are undergoing treatment, informed Coimbatore Municipal Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran. Comparatively, the previous year witnessed 2020 cases in the municipal areas, with only 1220 having recovered post-treatment so far.

The Commissioner also stated that fines totaling Rs. 16 lakhs have been collected from those littering in public places, contributing to mosquito breeding and the spread of dengue in the city.
